Going back home for a visit or taking a vacation?
Please consult your physician about travel vaccines to prepare for upcoming trips abroad. You may need to update your vaccinations. For example a booster dose of tetanus, hepatitis B, Travelers' Diarrhea, Yellow fever, etc depending on where you're traveling. You may also consider malaria prophylaxis if you're traveling to malaria endemic countries. Learn more here.
Patients in Ontario between the ages of 65-70 are now eligible for the shingles vaccine (Zostavax) for free. Patients aged 50 and over are eligible but must pay and obtain the vaccine from their pharmacy.
